At 46, Josh faced a terminal cancer diagnosis. The past, present, and future merged into one.
Together with Josh, the Hurand Family established this Fund to honor his voice. Through it, we will hear many voices, powerful creators, artists, activists in order to continue to make connections that deepen our understanding of ourselves, each other, and the world.
This project is a dream project
Founded by siblings Josh and Sara, together with their parents and families, Hurand Connection partners with organizations who bring creativity into connection.
Out of crisis comes creativity and connection.
How does one manage and honor the day-to-day, with the hopes and dreams for himself, his family, and community when faced with a terminal cancer diagnosis? Everything with meaning becomes more meaningful. Josh's love of poetry and creativity, his therapeutic work on behalf of the healing of others, and his activism and commitment towards community and a better society serve as the foundation of the Hurand Connection Fund.
