The Well

It feels infinite

Drawn deep from a fiery core

Iron forged into tears

Open to Morning 

Wake up to a silent hymn

A prayer to crisp fallen leaves

And unopened buds

Two mallards swim in a pool,

a dove sits in an apricot tree,

hummingbirds drink the nectar of peach blossoms

as Monarchs dance on marigolds.

There is life again in the backyard, 

   life    again

      life!
